  • Keep the bandages area of ulcer dry. If bandages get wet, change them.
  • Keep the wound clean
  • Use of compression stocking whenever possible
  • Elevate your leg above for 30 min. this can be repeated multiple times
  • Move around, take a stroll or exercising each day
  • Take any medications, particularly antibiotics, that your vascular specialist has prescribed
  • Timely varicose vein treatment like laser procedure, sclerotherapy.

How to prevent ulcer if you are suffering from varicose veins?

  • Check your legs, toes and heels each day for cracks,
  • Quit smoking
  • Get a few exercise, which include walking, each day
